Welcome to the IB DU Alumni Community at ibdualumni.org, proudly managed by DIBAA – The Department of International Business Alumni Association. Our platform is designed to bring together alumni, current students, and faculty for meaningful networking, collaboration, and celebration of the IB spirit.
To ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all, we ask every community member to follow these Community Guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, restricted access, or permanent suspension from the platform.
1. Respectful Communication
- Treat all members with courtesy, empathy, and professionalism.
- Personal attacks, bullying, threats, harassment, or abusive language will not be tolerated.
- Avoid sarcasm, trolling, or inflammatory language in discussions.
2. No Political Content
- Strictly prohibited: any form of political discussions, political party promotions, electoral opinions, or political movements.
- This includes political memes, slogans, news, or attempts to influence political thought.
- Our platform is strictly non-political and solely focused on the IB community’s growth.
3. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
- Disrespectful or discriminatory content based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation is forbidden.
- Our community values inclusivity and diversity.
4. Constructive Sharing
- Share personal or professional updates, achievements, job opportunities, or ideas that can benefit the IB community.
- Avoid spamming, excessive self-promotion, or irrelevant content.
- Posts should add value to the community and reflect the purpose of this platform.
5. Privacy & Consent
- Do not post personal information or images of others without their consent.
- Screenshots or private messages must not be shared publicly without permission.
- Respect members’ privacy both on and off the platform.
6. No Commercial Advertising
- Direct advertising, product selling, or unsolicited promotional content is not allowed unless approved by the admin team.
- You may share helpful resources, opportunities, or events if they align with the community’s purpose.
7. Use Real Identity
- Members must use their real names and provide accurate details in their profiles.
- Anonymous or misleading accounts may be removed.
8. Event Behavior
- All attendees of in-person or virtual alumni events must behave respectfully.
- Disruptive behavior during events may result in community sanctions.
9. Reporting Violations
- If you witness a violation of these guidelines, please report it directly to our moderators or email ibdualumni@gmail.com.
- All reports will be reviewed confidentially and taken seriously.
10. Final Authority
- The IB Alumni Association reserves the right to remove any content or user account that violates these guidelines.
- Interpretation and enforcement of these guidelines are at the sole discretion of the admin/moderation team.
